This is a great honour and something Ian and Keagan have worked hard for. They began playing with the Cobourg Saxons as Junior U16 players, and both have represented Rugby Ontario, and their respective schools - St. Andrew's College and St. Mary Catholic Secondary School throughout their time there.
Along with the tryout camps they attended, which included a competiton in the US in December against a US All Star team, they have to pay for this honour, in order to go to Hong Kong. Total costs for each young man are estimated to be approximately $5000. While Arizona has now been paid, they still have $3500 each outstanding for Hong Kong. ANY small amount that you can give, will help them reach their goal of $7000 (for the two of them). If 350 people give $20 each (the cost of 10 coffees at Timmies) - we can reach this goal - any support you can offer these fine young men, who will represent our club, our town, and our country in Hong Kong will be greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, Rugby Canada does not have the financing to support its representative athletes. Thank you in advance for your support - and please help spread the word!
