Joff and I got our first car not long ago. Everything's been great, until this rainy morning on Highway 17.

Joff was driving to his dental appt in San Jose, and as he was making a turn, he hydroplaned. To avoid a multi-car accident, Joff rode the center divider until he could re-gain control of the car.

The driver-side door wont open and is jammed shut, theres damage to the front end of the vehicle, a dent in the hood, and the alignment is off.

We're feeling the need to replace our tires since this was caused by a loss of traction.

There's also cosmetic damages which don't worry us as much as any of the mechanical issues do. We already had necessary repairs to do on our engine, since our check engine light turned on last week.

Joff currently has a couple thousand dollars in medical expenses that we've been trying to navigate together, on top of me having been laid off and unable to find consistent work in my field.

Anything we get would help us tremendously. Neither of us want to ask for help, but we can't seem to get ahead.
