Hello, my name is Idania. I never imagined I would be here asking for help, but life has placed me in a very difficult situation. I am currently pregnant and considered high-risk, and in just a short time I will be giving birth to our baby. This should be one of the happiest times of my life, but instead, I am facing it without the support of my fiancé.

My fiancé, who is from Venezuela and came in through TPS 2022, was recently detained by immigration. I am an American citizen, and it breaks my heart to think that he may miss the birth of his first child. He is not only my partner but also my emotional and financial support. Without him here, I am struggling to manage both my health and our needs as I prepare for the baby’s arrival.

I am humbly asking for your support so I can hire an immigration lawyer to file a humanitarian request. My hope is to have my fiancé here by my side during this critical time—to help me through my pregnancy, to witness the birth of our child, and to be the father our baby deserves from the very beginning.

I have always been the one helping others, and it is difficult for me to ask for help. But today, I need the kindness of others to get through this moment. From September 18 to November 11, my fiancé was detained, and on November 11 he was deported to Venezuela. These past weeks have been the most painful and difficult of my life. Despite everything we went through, our newborn daughter was born healthy, and she is now one month old—a beautiful blessing in the middle of so much hardship. I am grateful every single day that she arrived safely, even though her father was unable to be here for her birth.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has donated, shared, or prayed for us. Your support has meant more than words can express. Unfortunately, our situation has become even more challenging. I lost my home, and I am currently on maternity leave with no income. I am trying to care for a newborn while managing all of the emotional, financial, and legal burdens left behind after my fiancé’s deportation.

Our dream is to bring him back so we can complete our family and give our daughter the life and stability she deserves with both of her parents. Your continued support will help me provide for my baby girl during this critical time, cover basic needs like housing and essentials, and continue the legal process necessary to reunite our family.
