On Thursday, May 15th, a heartbreaking tragedy struck our neighborhood in Easton, Bristol. A fire broke out in the home of a family of four siblings, starting in the kitchen due to a faulty fridge. Within minutes, the flames spread uncontrollably, engulfing their entire home. While the family was fortunate enough to escape unharmed, they tragically lost their eight beloved cats—six precious kittens and two adult cats—who were trapped inside. The family could only watch as their house filled with thick black smoke and their lives, as they knew them, were destroyed.

This family has already been through so much. After the passing of their father, the siblings have been supporting each other, leaning on one another for strength.

But now, they face an unimaginable loss: not only the tragic death of their pets, but the destruction of everything they’ve worked hard to build. The fire ruined everything they once considered home.

With the house is now uninhabitable, they are forced to live in emergency accommodation. Along with this comes extortionate fees charged by the council.

As neighbors, we’ve seen how this family has always been there for each other, and now it’s our turn to show them the same support. This GoFundMe has been created to help them during this incredibly difficult time.
