High School Teacher Needs Help!

Donation protected
Hello Everyone,
My name is Alan Nettles. I am currently a high school English teacher at Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, Maryland. I also teach ESL classes at Anne Arundel Community College as well as Speech at Stevenson University. I work very hard to support my students and families often denying my own self care. But that’s my job as an educator and I consider my role to be extremely important.

I travel between these 3 schools weekly by car. Sadly, on Wednesday, August 31, 2022,
I was rammed on my passenger side by another vehicle during rush hour traffic at a stop light. I screamed, but then cried out thanking God I was alive. There was no bodily harm from me aside from minor
whiplash.

However, I cannot say the same for my truck. I don’t have traditional insurance and so I have to come up with a deposit to have the vehicle fixed. My truck is my life line. It is the only way I’m able to get back and forth to work to support my family. I’m not one for asking for help, but I’m desperate. School started this past week, and this has been an emotional rollercoaster for me.
Some have asked about applying for personal loans, unfortunately due to rebuilding my credit and a ton of student loans I don’t have the option of securing a loan from a lender. My friends encouraged me to put this platform together as your village is often the place to go when you need help. I’m backed against a corner, and I need help. I wish I could frame it better. But it’s truly coming from my heart. If you feel compelled to give, I would be forever grateful.

With Love and Gratitude,
Alan
