Hi, we are the prom committee of our school’s class of 2025. At the end of May we celebrated our graduation and the completion of the IB program during our prom. We had spent many months organizing this event and were looking forward to it finally happening. We organized our prom without the help of our school (as happens every year), and everything was running smoothly till the end of the event. Long story short, there were damages carried out by some students, despite us voicing to them before the event to respect the staff and the venue. We were already worried about the costs of this but when we received the quote the outstanding costs were much greater than expected, and we were suddenly €1000 euros short, while we had so meticulously done our financial calculations. The damages were worth €400 euros, but somehow we had €600 of extra costs that we had not accounted for. We, as recently graduated high school students, do not have this kind of money lying around and all we ask is for help covering a mistake so no one is left in debt.
