High School Senior Car Crash and College Expenses
Donation protected
My name is Mya, and I'm a 17 year old high school senior. Growing up, money has always been extremely tight, especially as my mom is disabled and my dad is not in the picture. I got a job immediately after I turned 15 and have had a job ever since; besides the basic necessities like food, water, and all other household expenses, I pay for everything I need or want. Even after I began working, my entire household income still rests well below $20,000 per year.
I have also been in accelerated classes since 7th grade. Because of the difficulty of the program that I am currently in (and the one I was in in middle school), I find it very hard to work and go to school at the same time. I have been working and saving as much as I possibly can, but all the money I have acquired was meant for going towards my college education-- even so, I don't have very much. This is why I am asking for help.

Recently, I got into a crash that completely totaled my car, leaving me completely devastated. That car got me to school, work, the hospice center that I volunteer for, and everywhere else I needed to go. Now I am back at square one with nothing to work with, feeling helpless though I am grateful to be alive.

Being that I not only have to worry about the expenses caused by this crash, money to buy another car, as well as expenses for university next year, I am in desperate need of assistance. Any amount of help would mean so much, and I would be forever grateful. Thank you so much for spending the time to read this story.
