18 YEAR OLD Battling a Rare Illness

Donation protected
Greetings, prior to an unexpected illness 18 year old Antonice Collins was an energetic, active high school senior who suddenly lost all feelings in the left side of her body on 3/27/2022.  Even after spending months in the hospital dealing with this rare auto-immune disorder, the doctors still aren't 100% sure of her exact diagnosis. She went from having a great Sunday morning to being paralyzed on 1/2 of her body - out of nowhere she experienced upper body pain and within 1 hour she couldn't move her left side. The doctors still don't know what caused it and we are all hopeful for a full recovery. She was hospitalized since 3/27/2022 & for over a month had to endure aggressive treatments such as plasma injections, lumbar puncture tests, receiving steroids, many MRI exams etc to try & prevent her from being permanently paralyzed. After being in 2 hospitals including Neuro ICU, she was transferred to a rehab center and was discharged  home on 6/10/2022. Only time will tell what her overall physical status will end up and we are praying that she continues to progress for complete healing - physically and mentally.
She missed her prom on 5/21/2022 and other senior activities but was able to attend her high school graduation on 6/15/2022 .  Walking the stage was a huge goal for her.  She has been accepted to several colleges and before this illness she was headed to Texas Southern. However, at this time out of state isn't recommended until she is able to function more independently. This request is to help with her current caretaking needs, post discharge medical care which the doctors are saying will be required & out of pocket extensive rehab and physical therapy expenses. Since this illness happened, she had to quit her part time supermarket job which she went to after school and weekends. Thank you in advance for any donations to assist with her long road ahead towards physical & mental recovery.
