Homedale Robotics at the World Championships

The Homedale Trobots (a first year robotics team), have been awarded the prestigious Rookie All-Star Award at the FIRST Robotics Idaho Regional and are now invited to attend the FIRST World Championships in Houston, Texas!
This is an unparalleled opportunity for our students to deepen their exposure to STEM opportunities; competitive engineering, coding, and robotics; however, the Championships are just two short weeks away!
Our team is made up of 12 students ranging from freshmen to juniors, all of whom have dedicated countless hours to designing and building a robot this winter with little-to-no previous experience. Homedale is a small, rural farming town located in southwestern Idaho; our students participate in numerous extracurricular activities ranging from Future Farmers of America, Future Hispanic Leaders of America, theatre, and a range of varsity and sub-varsity level sports. Students on the Trobots team balanced a number of different commitments and challenges throughout the build process, including a lack of exposure to STEM resources.
The Trobots' phenomenal showing at Regionals was achieved with limited resources and only made possible by generous grants from the Idaho Stem Action Committee, Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation, and First Inspires, to whom we are extremely grateful.
However, we now face a steep financial barrier as we approach the World Championship competition. In order to attend the Championships, we need to raise an estimated $9,000.
Funds donated will help to support the following:
-Travel expenses
-Meals, hotel, and transportation while at the Championships
-Entrance fees to the competition
