Hello friends, neighbours and unmet earth angels,

My name is LaLonnie Wood. I write this application because the last 2 1/2 years I've been living with a diagnosis of triple negative breast cancer, which I had to look up as I had never heard of it. Apparently it is a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer. Alas it seems to be true.

After the diagnosis, it became so physically intense (painful) that I had to live in Minto House and Halcyon Home in the beautiful village of Nakusp where I have lived for 14 years. Eight months later and after 5 weeks in Kelowna with many different protocols and treatments, I could return to living at home with my fur family.

In the beginning I tried some complimentary protocols. Joe Tippens' protocol was working. Photos were taken every month and the fist size lump and lymph nodes in the left armpit were shrinking.

Then it didn't work.

Next came intravenous chemo in Trail every week and it was working.

Until it didn't.

Next was radiation in Kelowna which was working. Had a second round of radiation and it was working.

Then it didn't.

Now I have lumps and tumors in both groin lymph nodes and in both lymph nodes in my armpits and the left chest wall.

Surgery had never been an option as the 'lump' was too large to remove surgically.

Now the medical world has offered me another chemo protocol (oral pills 2 weeks on and 1 week off) which I started September 25th, 2025 and I have fingers and toes crossed that it will work. Please pray that it will.

Now that I have told you 'the what', I come to 'the why' I need this GoFundMe. A dear fiend had me research high dose vitamin C in the healing of cancer. I was on it. High dose vitamin C infusions put in via a needle subcutaneously is how the body can store the high dose of vitamin C. Vitamin C kills cancer cells and offsets some of the side effects of the chemo therapy. I have to admit it is effective but not very comfortable. Not complaining. Just saying.

We were able to track down a naturopath in Nelson who provides this treatment. MSP covers only $23.00 dollars of a $337.50 dollar treatment. Without extended health insurance the money comes from the patient (me) and friends, and hopefully those of you who are inspired to share with me at this time.

In the past a sweet friend donated two envelopes that provided me with 6 treatments of high dose vitamin C. Another kind friend donated more monies and I was able to get 3 more treatments. The high dose vitamin C helped me with nausea, fatigue and boosted my immune system. Many people commented on how healthy I looked even bald! And I felt as if I were getting better. I desperately hope to feel that again.

Presently, however, I have monies coming from the gov't for disability as presently I am unable to work. These monies only cover the living costs with nothing extra to pay for the high dose vitamin C treatments.

I was speaking with a friend about setting up a GoFundMe for the high dose vitamin C treatments and right away he donated enough (before this application is online) that I am having my first high dose vitamin C treatment (since 2024) on October 15th 2025. I am grateful to him and looking forward to feeling much better!
