I will be summiting Mount Toubkal in Morocco in June 2024, in order to raise money for the Marie Curie Foundation.
Hospice care means a lot to me on a personal level, but I can recall only 1 or 2 times in my life I volunteered in centers that specialized in end-of-life care, and 0 times I've donated. I feel quite ashamed of that. While I wish I had chosen differently and been better, I can't change the past. I can, however, work for today.
I am dedicating this hike to raise funds for the Marie Curie Foundation, a remarkable organization providing vital end-of-life care and support for people living with terminal illnesses and their families in the UK. Marie Curie's work is incredibly important, touching the lives of many when they need it most. Since 1948, Marie Curie has aimed to provide the right support that everyone deserves.
The High Atlas Mountain range is one of the most stunning natural landscapes in Africa, and a difficult yet immensely rewarding effort. Over several days we will aim to reach 4,167m, which is the summit of the highest peak in North Africa - Mount Toubkal.
Every donation, no matter how big, makes a significant impact. Your support would mean the world to me and to all those who will benefit from the incredible work of this foundation. Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness!
