High Adventure Leader Has Substantial Truck Damage

(Update: Due to overwhelming and immediate generosity, I’ve updated the target goal to hopefully cover the other truck’s repairs, which were quoted at a little under $1,000.)

My name is Brandon and I'm fundraising for a friend. He used his family's old farm truck to haul a large gear trailer for our recent Young Men high adventure (Youth ministry summer camping trip). Unfortunately, at the end of the trip, his truck sustained substantial damage including a bent and damaged frame. As a result, the quoted cost is over $6,000. The truck was legally licensed and insured for basic liability coverage but because it's a farm truck it doesn't have more comprehensive insurance. He spent a lot of time and energy helping with planning our trip and ensuring the young men had a great time. I'm hosting this fundraiser to try to help him cover some (or hopefully all!) of the costs of the truck repairs. If donations collected exceed the cost of the repairs, the excess donations will be donated locally for next year's high adventure trip.
