Help Hidden Gems Build a Free Mobile Library!

Help build the Hidden Gems FREE MOBILE LIBRARY, the nation's mobile library on wheels, for our #1000FreeBookTour in July 2022 from New Jersey to Florida! We are Hidden Gems Literary Emporium, your family-owned, non-profit community bookstore! Our goal is to spread love through literacy through our yearly #1000FreeBookTour across the country, our literacy programs for ages 1 to 100, our Free Book Festivals for schools, supporting independent authors across the world, and more! We are currently fundraising for our Free Mobile Library, a converted Class A RV, which we will use for our next #1000FreeBookTour in July 2022.

This mobile library will be complete with an indoor and outdoor bookstore, furniture, television and computers for literacy classes, kitchen for free drinks and refreshments, sound system for artistic performances, and more!

These tours are the vehicle for us to distribute thousands of books, educational resources, and smiles across the country, and even the world! Since our opening in July 2021, we have distributed over 7,000 books across the world, reaching as far as Ghana. Our storage unit currently holds over 30,000 books, a collection we have not had to touch since June due to the overabundant love the community has shown us with book donations!

Here is our story:

OUR STRETCH GOAL: Your community-based literary emporium!
The bookstore is currently located inside of Above Art Studios art gallery, which means we have to break down our book setup every weekend, and have limited space to store our books. Our goal is to purchase a building that can truly serve as a community literary emporium--one that feeds the mind, body & spirit. One that can hold our 30,000+ book collection, allow us to have multiple age appropriate rooms for our literary classes, and have space for us to store food for our weekly food distribution program with Tree House Cares. (In the past 2 years since starting this program in New Brunswick, we have distributed over 2 million pounds of food!)

There is a property available at 184 Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick NJ  that would be perfect for our community efforts! This completely remodeled 3 story office building has a huge 20 foot x 16 foot open area space, 9 offices of varying sizes with closets and storage space, and 3 bathrooms, all on the first floor. The second floor Has 4 offices with closets, 1 bathroom and a break room. The third floor is exactly as the 2nd floor: 4 offices with closets, 1 bathroom, and a break room. The asking price for this gem is $800,000. Please click here to view pictures and floor plans of our dream home for Hidden Gems Literary Emporium !
