Help the Hicks Sisters Stay Together
Donation protected
Meet Aaliyah (11) and Sweetie (14). These bright, joyful, and vibrant girls lost their Mom, Jodie, a week ago to cardiac arrest. Their dads have never been in their lives. It's been a tough school year for these girls who have been on the brink of homelessness, living in an extended stay hotel since losing their long-time home last summer (coinciding with a car accident, injuries, and job loss). Despite unthinkable trials, the girls are positive and hopeful and have continued to thrive in school. They radiate joy and are delightful to be around. Thankfully, they have older siblings and grandparents who love them very much. Due to their grandfather's poor health, the girls will likely be living with their oldest sister, Vanessa, who is only 24 years old herself. Vanessa is married to a wonderful man, and they have a darling 4-month old baby of their own. They are responsible and loving and will provide a good home, but they are in need of financial assistance to make that happen. The most immediate need is setting up their home to accommodate the addition of two more sisters into their household (their sister Ana, not pictured, is 18, just graduated from High School, and is already living with Vanessa--their other sister, Mone, is 22 and already living with their grandma).
Can you help these wonderful sisters stay together? If so, please, donate now. THANK YOU! Even small donations to help with sheets and towels would be so wonderful and generous.
BTW, the "tip" Gofundme adds to the transaction is manually adjustable. It is not a mandatory amount. You can adjust it to zero. Also, feel free to contact me directly if you would like alternate ways to donate (Venmo, Zelle, etc) that don't charge fees.
