Hello, dear community of Hickory,

We are Virginia Parsons, Johnny McDowell Jr., and Kiersten Hill, a family united not just by blood and marriage, but by a shared vision of emotional wellness for all. As co-founders of Alchemy Wellness LLC, we feel a deep responsibility to bring transformative change to our community.

Our story is one of personal trials, resilience, and the strength of family bonds. As a manifestation coach turned spiritual therapist, Kiersten, our beloved daughter, has transformed her personal emotional wellness struggles into a beacon of hope. Now a doctoral candidate in psychology, she’s channeled her journey into the heartbeat of Alchemy Wellness LLC and the Hickory Strong Center.

As parents, we've been on our own journeys too. Virginia's experience in the medical field and the heart-wrenching loss of a close family member to suicide sparked a fierce commitment to ensure nobody ever feels invisible or unheard. Now leading Alchemy Wellness LLC as CEO, she carries this torch forward every day.

Johnny, from a labor industry background, found his true calling in connecting deeply with others, nurturing their hearts and minds. This revelation led him to mindfulness coaching and, now as our Operations Director, he's excited to bring his unique approach to emotional wellness to our community.

Our shared dream is the Hickory Strong Cathartic and Sensory Relief Center, born from the collective emotional toll of the post-pandemic world. We've envisioned a judgment-free space where people can express and release overwhelming emotions - a sanctuary of stress relief, highlighted by the innovative concept of a rage room.

We've witnessed firsthand the heartbreaking effects of emotional turmoil and stress, both in our family and in our community. We firmly believe in the transformative power of emotional wellness and resilience in preventing such tragedies.

We’re regular people who want a better world for ourselves, the members of our community, and our world. We’re determined and passionate, so we’re pulling this thing through either way, but we know we’re not the only regular folk out here with the willingness and the power to make real change happen; that’s why we’re here.

With your support, we can open the doors to Alchemy's Hickory Strong Center immediately, allocating the goal amount to help cover the following costs:

$12000 Lease &Utilities: 50% of the total $4000 per month (for 6 months)

$7000 Renovations: 50% of the total $14,000 to convert building into a safe, suitable space

$1500 Safety Equipment: protective masks, gloves, coveralls, and safety glasses

$3000 Opening Inventory (items to smash, like electronics, glassware, furniture, etc.)

$4500 Marketing and Advertising initial budget

$2500 Website Development invoice (to finally pay our web designer for our website)

$1500 Insurance: comprehensive insurance coverage

$3000 Exigency/Operational expenses (cleaning, maintenance, payment processing, etc)
