HHS Choir Program Fundraiser

The Hamilton High School Choir Program  is made up of awesome kids and dedicated teachers.  There are 4 choirs, with around 130 choir members in a regular year - some in multiple choirs.  These choirs - Concert Choir, Cantabile Choir, Hamiltones A Cappella Choir, and Synergy Show Choir - are active in our community and the surrounding areas.  We take part in numerous caroling events, community events, field trips, and performances throughout the year.

Due to the effects of COVID cancellations and closures, our program has missed out on over $10,000 worth of fundraising due to cancellation of our biggest fundraisers: the Pop Show Concert , Spring Sing Awards Dinner and Concert , and 2 Brat Fry/Car Washes.  We are also limited in the individual fundraisers we can offer at this time.  

This dip in funds raised is going to cause long-term effects in this program if we cannot make some (or most!) of those funds back. We use money raised through fundraising to pay for sheet music, accompanists, concert attire, choreographers, clinicians, WSMA solo and ensemble fees, arrangement licensing, music arrangements, piano tuning, bus fees for field trips, college clinicians and workshops, and many other things throughout the year. 

Most importantly, we use our funds to help struggling families pay for their concert attire and cover their choir fees or other program costs as necessary.  We don't EVER want a student to be left out of a trip or activity if they cannot afford to participate in it!! Money shouldn't be an issue to be involved in choir, and up to this point, we've been able to support the kids and choir families who need it!

Our initial goal is to raise $2000 to hopefully make what we would typically make at our fall Brat Fry.  This will help to cover some of the fall expenses for music that has been ordered/ arranged for various choirs.

We are working on a "recognition" program for donations at this time.  This would involve being listed as various "level" donor on a concert program and/or in a pre-concert slide show.  Below is an example of donation recognition that we may employ.

"Mezzo Forte" Donations ($50-$99) - listed on pre-concert slide show, listed in concert program

"Forte" Donations ($100+) - listed on pre-concert slide show, listed in concert program, verbal recognition at concert
