Hi, I’m Jennifer, Michael’s mom.
Our world turned upside down when, on February 3rd, 2026, Michael was told he needs urgent heart surgery to repair both of his subclavian veins. We’re facing a journey no family ever wants to take, one that means traveling from Idaho to Stanford, California, so Michael can be treated by one of the nation’s top pediatric heart surgeons.
We need your help.
To get Michael this critical surgery, we have to cover the costs of travel, a hotel stay, and, because we’ll both be away from work, at least two weeks with no income. Every dollar helps cover these essentials and lets us focus on what matters most: getting Michael healthy and home.
Why We’re Asking
Over the past months, we’ve lived in doctors’ offices: echocardiograms, CT scans, EKGs, angiograms… you name it. Michael is only a kid, but he’s been so brave through it all. Now, his medical team says the next step is surgery to fix his heart.
The procedure is complicated. His veins are on the wrong side and must be repositioned to ensure he has a future free of pain and risk.
What Your Support Means
• Travel & Hotel: We’ll need to stay in California during surgery and recovery.
• Loss of Income: Two weeks with no pay is a tough hit for our family.
• Peace of Mind: Your kindness will let us focus on
Michael, not bills.
This surgery came on suddenly, but I know Michael is in the best hands possible. We just need a little help getting him there.
If you can donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you can’t, please share our story. Every bit of support, every share, every prayer means the world.
Thank you for being part of Michael’s fight.
