Donation protected

This gofundme is being created by David's family in order to assist his wife and daughter for immediate needs.

He honorably and selflessly served his country. SFC David Troutman served in the United States Army with distinction for over 13 years, most notably as a medic in the Special Forces. His most recent assignment was at the US Army Medical Center of Excellence at Fort Sam Houston, Texas where he was a student in the Interservice Physician Assistant Program. His storied career took him to Fort Leonard Wood, MO, Ft Bliss, TX, Fort Bragg, NC, and Joint Base Lewis McCord, WA. David also completed an overseas combat deployment as a Special Forces Combat Medic in 2019-2020.
SFC Troutman received some of the most demanding and specialized training the Army has to offer. In addition to Combat Medic Advanced Individual Training, he attended Airborne School and the Freefall Parachutist Course. He then went on to complete all the rigorous stages of Special Forces Training and Special Operations Combat Medic School. His numerous awards and decorations Include: the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Superior Unit Award, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, the NATO Medal, and multiple Certificates of Achievement including a Commander’s Award for Excellence. He was also awarded the following Combat and Special Skill Badges: the Special Force Tab, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Free Fall Parachute Badge, the Parachutist Badge, the Basic Marksmanship Qual Badge - w/Carbine, and the Driver and Mechanic Badge.

He was a caring person who loved his family. His smile and humor will be greatly missed. We lost him unexpectedly, and as we navigate our loss, our focus is now on his wife and baby girl. We appreciate any support. Thank you!
