On March 18th I nearly lost my life. All due to an accidental fire that started in my bedroom with a candle. It was the last day of March break and I was babysitting a friends daughter. I had many plans that day but around noon my day took a turn for the worse and has become the scariest day of my life. It all started when my shirt caught fire from a candle and spark fell onto my bed because I grabbed it trying to get the fire out. When I tried to remove it from my unit, from there the fire escalated very quickly. I’m grateful God chose to give me a second chance. Judging by the damage done to my apartment it is only by his grace that he I was able to save my self and my little angel Sophie. 
     I started this go fund me to assist with starting all over. With all the fire, smoke and water damage we’re basically left with nothing. Necessities for us include beds (and other furniture), toys, books, clothing, shoes and other essentials for the 3 of us. My girls lost a lot and daily they just ask to go back home. By far, this is the hardest thing I’ve ever been through.
     I am suffering from PTSD, insomnia, and some mom guilt because it’s hard explaining to a toddler why they can’t go home. I would really love to get therapy to help heal and recover from this tragedy. Above all I’m extremely grateful that my life has been spared and just want to continue to be the best mom I can be and get over this really difficult hurdle.
