I, Chasity am trying to help my Mother and have decided to reach out for help. My mom has had a tough year and a half. She was diagnosed with cancer back in March 2020, located in the back of her right eye. She noticed her right side of her face kept enlarging and was abnormal and caused pain in her face. She was diagnosed with cancer and underwent chemotherapy and radiation in the hopes it would get rid of the cancer and to avoid worst case scenario. Right before all of this happened, she was doing really well for herself. She has always been a hard working woman. She had a good job and was able to pay off most of her debt and finally was able to afford a brand new vehicle for the first time in her life. She even fixed her credit and was working on her hopes and dreams of traveling the country and do some camping that she loves to do. When she was diagnosed with cancer and started treatment, she wasn't able to work as much as she did and began to go back under trying to keep up with bills. She completed her treatment and had a MRI in August 2020 and biopsy done in October 2020 after celebrating her 50th birthday in September to later find out she still had cancer cells present. This meant worst case scenario which resulted in her having brain surgery in November 2020 which meant losing an eye to make sure they got all the cancer out. She was told her recovery time would be minimum 2 months. But then came down with a bad infection which meant they had to go back in to clean it out and now which is left with a hole in her face. She still has yet recovered to100% and not able to go back to work still. She has to go back under in January 2022 to get a plate in her head and still has a long road ahead of her. She has now fallen back in debt due to medical bills and not being able to work. She barely brings home enough to cover just basic bills. She has lost her first brand new vehicle and about to lose the house she owns if she cannot pay the taxes on it by October. This house is precious to her since she (my family) has struggled and been homeless a countless number of times throughout the years and she was ecstatic to buy her first house about 14 years ago and to finally not worry about being homeless again. I have decided to reach out for help, something I normally wouldn't do. I want to help my mom save her from losing her home in Upstate New York. She's been able to keep up with mortgage especially since she is so close to paying it off. The only hurdle right now is the taxes she owes. Please read my Moms story and donate anything if you can.
