Michelle's Memory-Making Dream Trip

Michelle and I work together.  She is a Hennepin County Civil Court Intake Social Worker.  She helps my clients who are in the throws of mental illness.  In late June 2015 Michelle had pain on her right side.  The doctor said it was a pulled muscle.  The pain worsened and on July 2 Michelle went to the ER. Part of the testing included an abdominal ultrasound, which revealed an abnormal spot on her liver. A liver biopsy was done which revealed Hormone Positive breast cancer cells. Next was the PET scan and Mammogram. The Mammogram confirmed a tumor in her right breast. The PET scanned showed that pain she was having was from her rib. The cancer had spread to her bones. It was also present in her left hip and lower back. On July 24, 2015 she met with her Oncologist who put the pieces together… Michelle was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer Stage 4. There is no cure.  The goal is to put the cancer to sleep.  The cancer will never go away. Scan Treat repeat..

Michelle and her husband have 4 children, Justin age 24, Miles age 22, Quentin age 19 and Addison age 6.  They are a mixed family – meaning half Vikings fans and half Packer fans.  Michelle is still feeling mostly well and hasn’t been to Lambeau Field in Green Bay since she was a girl.  Please help contribute to her memory-making dream of taking her family to the Vikings/Packers game on 1/2/16 at Lambeau Field.  Any extra money will be used to defer costs and help this lovely family through this difficult time!  Thank you!
