Jasper the Companion Service Dog

Jasper the Companion Service Dog

Jasper is the companion service dog for a 72 year old disabled lady named Karrie. Jasper is a little 14 pound Chihuahua mix who everyone says is the most loving little dog they've ever met. Jasper is the only family that Karrie has and they are devoted to each other.

Karrie uses an electric wheelchair to get around and was out with Jasper last week. Somehow Jasper got lose and started running around. Soon there were people and several policemen all trying to corral Jasper. The commotion was too much for Jasper and he fled down the street in the opposite direction.

Jasper ran 1/2 mile towards home before he was struck by a car and injured. He suffered multiple cuts and wounds over his body, bruised lungs, possible internal bleeding and multiple broken bones in his right hip.

Karrie is on a fixed income and can not afford all of the treatments that he is going to need. But she is determined not to lose him. We are trying to raise the needed funds for his treatments.
