HGV Drivers at Christmas

For countless long-haul truckers, Christmas is no different than any other workday. For many truck drivers, the holidays can be a difficult time. They often spend long hours on the road, away from their families, and face constant deadlines. Yet, they tirelessly drive, ensuring our stores are stocked with food and gifts.

Many HGV drivers are unable to get back to their families over Christmas and will continue to work throughout the Christmas period to make sure we can all get food and presents at the shops.

Many HGV Drivers can't make it home to their loved ones during the festive period and spend their Christmas on truck stop services.

Gifting them an unexpected present on Christmas Day is a token of our appreciation for their commitment.

With the generosity of our community's individuals and businesses, we aim to distribute an abundance of gifts to the drivers at trucks stops and service stations around Northampton on Christmas Day.

With your help, we can show these hardworking individuals that they are appreciated.

Your donation will go towards providing gifts, food vouchers, festive hampers and other forms of support to truck drivers who are spend Christmas Day in their cabs, away from home.

Here’s how you can express your gratitude:

- Financial Contributions: Assist us by donating to our Go Fund Me campaign. These funds will be utilized to provide meals and presents for the truckers on Christmas Day.

- Gift Donations: We're reaching out to businesses and individuals for donations of practical items for the drivers. Think along the lines of toiletries, hand sanitizers, and snacks like non-perishable treats and beverages.

- Delivery Volunteers: We’d love for enthusiastic individuals to join us in distributing the gifts to the truckers on Christmas Day.

Should you wish to contribute to our "Christmas Act of Kindness", donations can be handed in at Suite 58, Burlington House East Wing, 369 Wellingborough Road, Northampton until Friday, December 15th.
