Support Robert's Fight for Recovery
Donation protected
On Monday morning, my little brother Robert was found unconscious in his block in Platte Valley juvenile detention center in Colorado where he had been for a year and a half. Robert was due to be released next month. He was treated at the facility & was immediately rushed to the hospital. They then needed to fly him to the Children’s hospital in Colorado. Robert is unfortunately in a coma and is showing signs of irreversible brain damage. They are still treating him but also pushing for a decision to be made. Although some people may disagree with the decision, it is in hopes to keep him on life support for just a little bit longer & to pray for a miracle. As we are all aware, past a certain point it is inhumane to keep somebody alive when there are no signs of life. Although it may be delusion, we all believe he’s still in there. He continues to make improvements in his health as well as small body movements. The hospital does not and will not support the continued care for Robert past a certain point. They are pushing for a decision on a day to let go. But that’s the thing. This is our 16 year old baby. We have no real answers as to what happened in the juvy that day. And we aren’t willing to let go yet. He has so much to live for. With that being said, I am unfortunately reaching out for donations towards continuing care for my baby brother. Insurance isn’t going to cover care after the hospital and that’s where we need help. We are looking for donations to possibly have Robert transferred to another facility that is willing to help. And if this is not possible, god forbid, all donations will go towards a service. Thank you in advance. Please continue to send good vibes & pray for Robert & our family.
