Support Amanda's Healing Journey

Amanda was recently hospitalized for a severe infection caused by diverticulitis. Until this medical emergency, Amanda was not diagnosed. Her medical team was unsuccessful with the initial, hopeful attempt to treat the infection aggressively to avoid surgery. She was transferred to a different hospital to again attempt a less invasive approach to treatment than surgery. Within hours, the medical team determined surgery and the removal of her colon was the only way to treat the infection and prevent Amanda from the possibility of going sepsis. Amanda will remain under medical care at the hospital for another week with an additional time for healing and recovery at home as well as future invasive medical procedures to come.

Everyone that knows Amanda knows how resilient, strong willed and determined she is. She is a hardworking, single mother of two amazing kids. Amanda holds multiple valuable roles at her place of employment. This long road of medical challenges has and will continue to leave not only a physical void in her roles but a financial burden for Amanda. This journey has caused Amanda the stress of financial security for herself and her two children.

Amanda is a driven, determined to do it on her own woman and will not ask for help.
