Hi! My name is Cat, I am 18 years old, completely emancipated from both parents and just got kicked out of an emotionally abusive household recently. While I do have a part-time job, with the job market finding better pay or another job has been very challenging these last two years. I had many emergencies that ended in my savings being completely spent without the ability to make it back easily whether it be my car or a bill I needed to take over without being prepared. I had more than one car accident last year and early this year that set me back a lot, neither being my fault however my insurance coverage was never what I needed for financial aid. I had to buy myself a new car six months ago after my old one broke down on me after all the damage it had at it used up all the money I had been saving to move out. I would really love to be able to get back on my feet, currently I am homeless and trying to stay on top of car payments, insurance, storage and my phone while only making $14.50/hr and it has proved to be impossible with retail hours being so inconsistent. I also just moved across the city for support I just lost. Any help is so very much appreciated so that I can keep my car and be able to continue commuting to work as much as possible! As well as iust spreading the word for anyone that could help would mean the world. I want to be in a better position and take care of myself so I’m no longer relying on others, so I’d be using funds to help cover my bills and save as much as possible until my income is increased and consistent.
