Save The Savage

Noble Savage Brewing Company began in 2014 as a small home brewery in a backyard shed. After more than five years of planning and with tremendous difficulty raising capital we began a lengthy renovation of a vacant storefront in Downtown Glen Cove. The original 1928 structure was fraught with unexpected issues and the project experienced numerous delays and set backs that put us way over budget. Despite being undercapitalized and against all odds, Noble Savage found a way and opened our doors in June 2019.

The first seven months were brutal. We were continuously losing money and wondering if we would last much longer. Then in February 2020, we hit our stride and actually broke even for the first month since opening. We had a ton of events planned for March then COVID-19 hit and swept us from underneath our feet. During the shutdown we were barely scraping by with crowler deliveries and curbside pickup. If not for the grace of our landlord, we would already be a thing of the past.

Despite continuous support from our loyal customers and the City of Glen Cove, we are struggling to make ends meet and in danger of closing our doors for good. We were on the verge of launching this campaign back in May 2020 but held off after receiving emergency funding through the Small Business Administration’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan and Payroll Protection Program. Those funds are almost gone and we now find ourselves right back where we were. Without your help we will not last another month and will lose everything we’ve sacrificed and worked so hard for.

We believe we brew excellent beer, offer great service, and have an amazing space for the community to enjoy. However, our tasting room has been struggling. Foot traffic on Glen Street is dismal at best. Without steady business we can’t pay our bills and the current climate is preventing us from doing so. So please help us stay afloat. If not for us, then for Glen Cove. The City cannot afford to lose another business. We’ve become an important player in the revitalization and have been working tirelessly to create culture and bring Glen Cove back to its former glory.
