Leila's Surgery Fund

This is Leila. Leila is four years old and has been with us her entire life. Originally, she lived with my mother, her boyfriend, my great uncle, his girlfriend, and I. My great uncle's girlfriend has a history with a violent ex-boyfriend. She recently moved out of the house, but Leila is still very attached to her.

When she came back to visit, her violent significant other showed up, and when they were left alone, he began to physically abuse her. Leila, being the caring puppy she is, got involved to protect a loved one. The man then stabbed Leila in the torso with a machete, resulting in injuries that can only be helped with a surgery we can't afford.

Please help my baby, she only wanted to protect the people she loves. We only have one source of reliable income in the house, which is why we cannot afford the surgery ourselves. Leila has been a constant source of joy and relief in our lives and is a very caring dog. She can't even hear someone whimper without expressing immediate concern, so when she saw someone in distress she felt that she had to help.
 
The life-saving surgery that she desperately needs costs $2000. Please help our guardian angel.
