Peyton Anthony turned ONE Saturday, January, 16th 2016! This is huge accomplishment for not only him, but for all heart baby warriors everywhere!

Peyton was diagnosed during pregnancy with HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome) a rare heart condition where the left side of the heart is critically underdeveloped.  He currently takes several medications to stabilize his blood pressure and get rid of the extra fluids.

Peyton has already undergone 3 open heart surgeries. He has had 11 chest tubes to drian fluid from his lungs, 7 heart caths for diagnostic purposes and stent placement, 4 chest washouts to clean off possible infections and was on ECMO (life support) for 7 days after his 3rd OHS! Unfortunately, these surgeries and treatments are NOT A CURE and Peyton will eventually be placed on the Heart Transplant List! (he has been on it before, but his heart had healed enough to function a little longer on its own).
