Healing Holly - support along her cancer journey
Donation protected
You've probably had the honor of knowing Holly Heckler through her work well before meeting the incredible force that gives it life. But once you've met Holly, she sticks with you. Holly is one of the most fascinating people I have ever met. Through her oil painting and floral design, she has a genuine ability to transport you into her own little world. Holly has a profound respect for the Earth and all its inhabitants, and has an avid love for the outdoors, having spent much of her life learning about foraging and the intricacies of the natural world from her family. She is the most caring, compassionate, loving friend I could have asked for over our 14 years of friendship, and for my friend, I now have to ask for your help.
Holly was diagnosed with cancer on August 25, 2023 and surgery was scheduled for exactly one month later on September 25th for a total bilateral mastectomy. This year has been cruel and violent to Holly and her family with the loss of her father to cancer only 3 months prior to her own diagnosis: The epitome of the adage, 'One step forward, two steps back.' Through it all she has worked incredibly hard to push forward for herself, her friends, and her family.
Holly is a fighter and will never ask for help, so I'm doing it for her because this woman deserves the world. A monetary donation would be the most helpful right now, but she can also benefit from vegetarian meals that can be frozen, comfortable organic clothing and bedding, pet care for her beloved huskies Uma and Suki, as well as assistance with maintaining her home and gardens (which provide her floral shop, Stoney Lonesome Floral, with its beautiful designs).
Holly is now home, experiencing a difficult recovery from surgery. The path ahead is unknown and will unfortunately take a lifelong toll on her health, livelihood, and finances.
Please feel free to reach out directly if you'd like to volunteer your time or provide a non-monetary donation. All funds will be used to assist in the recovery of Holly's health.
All help is so appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time, help, love, and support.
