A Mother’s Plea to Keep Her Children Safe

This is a sincere request for help.

I’m currently hosting a family — a mother and her two young children — who were living in their car before coming to stay with me. They are kind, humble, and doing everything they can to rebuild their lives, but the road ahead is overwhelming.

They’ve reached out to every available resource: Families Forward, 2-1-1, local housing programs — but everything is full, and the waitlists are long. On top of it all, child support stopped when the children’s father lost his job, leaving the mother with no income and few options.

Right now, the children are preparing to return to school without the basics — no backpacks, no school clothes, no supplies. Their car, which has become their only way to access jobs, school, and critical appointments, is in danger of being repossessed.

This family is not asking for much — just a chance to catch their breath. A chance to make it through this storm.
