Habitat for Humanity Capital Region
Donation protected
Habitat for Humanity Capital Region (HFHCR) is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2017 by building at home AND away. Volunteers from Mid-Michigan will be rebuilding lives in the Homa Bay area of Kenya.
Shelter is a basic need, but a majority of Kenyans cannot afford to build decent houses for themselves due to financial constraints that are as a result of poverty or unemployment.
To address the challenge of poor housing in Kenya, Habitat for Humanity Kenya works in partnership with low income families to help them construct decent, permanent and affordable houses. This is made possible through donations from well wishers, organizations and friends of Habitat.
Help support HFHCR by supporting our trip to Kenya in April. We will be sending 12 volunteers to help make a difference for those in need. Please note that donations received through this campaign will only be directed for this project in Kenya. The cost of the trip includes donations to Habitat for Humanity Kenya and Habitat for Humanity International; meals; accommodations; transport, excluding airfare; cultural activities; health, accident, and emergency evacuation insurance; and team coordination from HFHI and the host program.
Donations of $100 or more may receive a limited edition Wind and Fire Jewelry custom bracelet that helps commemorate this special occasion. Quantities are limited. You can select from gold, silver or rose tone alloy. Please follow this link if you would like to make a donation of $100 or more so that we can ensure we have bracelets available. https://www.habitatcr.org/get-involved/upcoming-events/habitat-anniversary-gift
We sincerely appreciate your donation, no matter the amount. Every dollar helps us make an impact!
