Support Penny's Fight Against Pneumonia

Dear Donors,

I want to share an important story about my friends Emily and Tim, and their courageous daughters, 8-year-old Penny and her younger sister, Audrey. Recently, Penny has asthma and was recently diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia and influenza A, and on December 26th, her oxygen levels dropped to a concerning 82%. In a moment of urgency, she was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital. Unfortunately, due to limited pediatric support, Penny had to be transferred to another hospital where she could receive the specialized care she needs. She is currently on a strong antibiotic and oxygen. She is expected to stay there for at least three days as she battles this illness.

As Emily and Tim navigate this challenging time, it’s important to remember that earlier this year, right before school started, Emily was the director of a non-profit preschool and kindergarten. Due to limited funds and enrollment, she tragically lost the school, which has added to their family’s stress during this already difficult period.

Penny's younger sister, Audrey, is also feeling the impact of this situation. My two boys are best friends with Emily's daughters, and it breaks my heart to see their family going through this tough time. As a friend, I want to support Emily and Tim financially so that they can focus solely on Penny’s health without the added burden of financial worries. This financial help will go straight to paying medical bills as they arise. Your generosity can make a meaningful difference in their lives, allowing them to be there for Penny as she recovers and providing some comfort for Audrey during this tough time.
