Pippin is our beloved, 11 year old cat and needs life saving surgery within the next week. Pippin is loved by all who meet him and has the sweetest and gentlest soul. He remains cuddly and affectionate throughout all his hardship.
Pippin has had issues with an obstructed bladder, crystals and bladder stones and needs an operation called a Perineal Urethrostomy (PU). PU surgery is a surgical procedure performed on male cats to treat urinary obstruction, a condition where the urethra becomes narrowed or blocked. This can prevent urine from flowing properly, and can lead to life-threatening complications, which is where Pippin is currently at.
He has spent the last 24 hours in the hospital with an IV and catheter until we can get him in for his operation this coming Wednesday.
We have already spent over $1,000 on initial diagnostics, temporary treatments, and medications. The PU surgery is estimated to cost around $4,000. We have had other high medical costs for our other pets in the last few months which really hit us hard and just do not have the extra funds for this surgery. If Pippin has this surgery, the success rate is extremely high and he will live and happy and comfortable life.
If you could find it in your heart to donate anything at all, and share, it would mean the world to us, and everything to Pippin. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
