Hanging Heaton Cricket Club is a long established, proud, multi ethnic community organisation offering opportunities to children of all ages and all backgrounds to play cricket. We are celebrating our 150th year in 2025.
12 years ago, without sufficient funding and resource this club had no junior section. However thanks to the endeavour of a small number of volunteers there is now a well established, successful junior section.
Despite the coaching staff, support staff and ground staff giving their time for free, the club cannot continue to run without funding. Please do what you can to help this small but very committed group of people to continue to provide maintenance and equipment for this facility.
This page is asking for your help to fund maintenance of facilities, provide equipment for those without and the general up keep of this vital community hub.
Players, coaches, staff and members will be undertaking a 20k walk from Headingley Stadium to Hanging Heaton Cricket Club on Saturday 5th April. Please donate as much as you feel you can (between now and the start of the season) to help us to continue to provide this opportunity to children from the local community and wider. 5 years ago a similar campaign by the club bought a defibrillator for the Hanging Heaton area.
The advent of Covid and the steep hike in the cost of living, particularly to businesses , means that the club is more in need than ever of your help.
