Help Brittany overcome her medical debt, her MAJOR life saving surgery, and has now lost insurance!!!!
Hi, I’m Brittany 23 years old, and fighting a battle I never imagined I’d have to fight. From the day I was born, my body has been weighed down by a list of chronic illnesses POTS, EDS, PCOS, MALS, severe skin diseases, asthma, and a long list of allergies. Every diagnosis has meant more tests, more medications, more hospital visits and tragically, more debt.
The last two years have been the hardest of all. My health has deteriorated to the point where I can no longer work, help support my family, or have my dream job!
I wanted to be a midwife or EMT!!
I am now facing the most critical surgery of my life. This surgery is a must! I have a band of tissue around my celiac artery and aorta that is restricting blood flow to my organs and intestines. This blockage could lead to permanent damage, and the procedure will involve carefully removing the band and assessing whether there’s any dead tissue or organ damage.
The worst part? There’s a possibility of cancer. With cancer running in my family, this surgery feels like a race against time, and the outcome is uncertain.
The road ahead is incredibly tough.
If all goes well, I'll be in the hospital for 5-7 days.
But recovery? It could take anywhere from 2-4 months just to begin recovery, with up to a year of full recovery. Afterwards, I’ll need ongoing treatments to manage my health
I want to beat all odds!!!!
Im not prepared for this. I don’t have even the most basic things like hospital costs, aftercare, and recovery supplies. I’m terrified, overwhelmed, and I feel incredibly vulnerable admitting this. NOW, with no insurance!
I’ve watched my dreams slip away, one painful day at a time. But there is one dream I refuse to let go of, becoming a mama one day!
But I can't do it alone. The medical bills I’ve accumulated from years of treatments have buried me in debt. I’ve fought so hard, and I’m not giving up, but right now, I need you.
