Spreading the Gospel in Africa

The Lord has given another incredible opportunity to me. This upcoming May I have the opportunity to return back to Uganda on a mission’s trip. We will be ministering in several different ways while we are there: door to door evangelism, helping with vacation Bible school, serving in the Children's home, and through sports ministry. We will get to know the students by teaching them about Christ and participating in activities and sports with them. Words cannot express how excited I am to have this opportunity to return back to Africa to continue to show the love of Christ. The relationships that were formed last May are just a foundation for even more work to be done!

Again, I am solely relying on the Holy Spirit to work in and through me on this trip. I know that I have no power to change the hearts of people, but God certainly does. I am praying that the Lord will use me in powerful ways.

Last May, a few of my team members and I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time at VBS. Right next to the field we held VBS at, there was a school. Because of this, many older kids would walk by and see us singing, dancing, & playing games— they would stop and just watch. Over the course of the week, we got the chance to not only reach the kids at Vacation Bible School, but also the older students walking by. At the end of the week, one of my team members and I got to share Jesus with these boys and give them a Bible. There are people all over who need to hear it!

This is our hope. Our hope is that hearts will be open and ears will be listening to the glorious Gospel message we will be sharing while staying in Uganda.

I need to raise approximately $3,200 (plus money for medical expenses and other trip supplies). I am 100% dependent on the Lord to provide the necessary funds for this trip through people like you. I believe He will supply all that is necessary if it is the Lord's will for me to be on this trip! Any amount given, or any prayer offered by you about this trip would be considered a true blessing. No matter what I receive, I will continue to praise Him regardless. In faith, I am hoping to have the full amount by April 15th, in order to finalize all the related reservations that need to be made.

I would appreciate if you would pray for me in any of the following ways regarding this trip: (1) for God to be glorified in everything that I do and say; (2) for support to be provided by those who feel Spirit-led to contribute; (3) for my heart to be open to anything the Lord wants to teach the students, or me, through this experience; (4) for the relationships that have already been formed & the ministry/discipleship that has already been done to be furthered; (5) for safe travels and good health as I prepare to go, and also during my entire stay.

I am so thankful for any support that you may decide to give; whether it is praying for me, or for any monetary gifts. I am confident and know that the Lord will provide, as I have seen Him be faithful over and over again, praise Him!

Last May, while I was in Uganda, each person on my team was asked to lead a devotion at our nightly team meetings. While I was preparing and seeing what I was going to share, I came across Romans 10:8-15: "But what does it say? 'The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart' (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.  For the Scripture says, 'Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.' For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.  For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.' How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'" This is a powerful word. This is a calling for all believers to go out and share the Good News.

These verses speak exactly of what my mission will be in Uganda. I am so very thankful the Lord has given me this opportunity and am excited to see the ways that He will work through this trip. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with me?
