HELP LAURA KICK CANCER'S BUTT !

In October, 2014, Laura was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, metastasized. This will be a long, tough and costly battle. While health care covers the basic cancer therapies, it does not cover the cost of medications to help get through chemo or radiation, nor the medications after. Many cancer patients struggle with the financial burden of their disease, the cost of travel/gas, eating healthy and a few   concurrent treatments that help to improve the cancer therapies and alleviate side effects are extremely costly. Cancer survivors are already fighting their disease — they shouldn’t have to worry about the cost of medications and alternative therapies. Laura has always been the one helping others through out her life. She worked in educational support with severe learning disabilities she also took care of her mom in her home until her death fighting a battle of Metastatic Breast Cancer now it is time for us to help her and support her family any way we can.   Lauras husband Shawn Muir is an employee of Shaw Communications, her son Colin works part time and attends college .
