Help Kristie Get on Her Feet Again

I have had the pleasure of knowing Kristie for more than 25 years when her Aunt Lea decided to take a chance on my brother Roger. She was a genuinely sweet and kind to the core young lady back then, and even more so now.
The tremendoulsy challenging journey Kristie has had to endure over the past few years has shown she is a pillar of strength and detemination not to let those struggles consume her. At such a young age, Kristie started off with a long battle with lyme disease, closely followed by numerous cancer diagnoses that resulted in TOO MANY to count surgeries, chemotherapy treatments and radiation treatments. Cancer is evil to the core and Kristie fought through all these surgeries and treatments as a TRUE WARRIOR SURVIVOR.
Taking the leap of faith to improve health and quality of life with a change in climate, 2 month ago Kristie drove cross country from Maine to Arizona for a fresh start in Pheonix. Even with no family in Pheonix, other than a very good friend Jess, things were looking up for Kristie! The weather was therapuetic and Kristie was just hired at an ideal job in her field!
Although Kristie has already had to endure more than anyone should ever have to in 10 lifetimes, on September 2 Kristie was in a horrific multi-vehicle car accident in Pheonix. Both of her knees and ankles were shattered, along with all the bones in between. The front of her skull was fractured and she has a drainage tube due to internal bleeding. She had emergency surgeries on her legs upon arrival and several other surgeries scheduled over the following few weeks. Once surgeries are done, she still has a long road to recovery ahead of her. She will need to be in rehab for many months, with the goal of being able to try and walk again in the spring.
I know I feel helpless in trying to do anything for Kristie from 3,000 miles away, so for all of us family, friends and supporters, whether far away or near, this account is a way we can all HELP KRISTIE LITERALLY GET BACK ON HER FEET AGAIN. Kristie would never ask for help, but there is no one more deserving to have a little help bestowed upon them. Kristie has done so much for so many people and causes, that I cold not possibly begin to list them all. Any gift I know will forever be appreciated, as Kristie's support system is strong!!
