Help Leah Rebuild Her Home

I met Leah 4 years ago when I started at Sierra Nevada Corporation/Sierra Space. From the very beginning we have been not just coworkers but friends. Unfortunately, in the wake of the Marshall Fire in Louisville, Colorado, Leah and her two kids (Kate and Adam) lost their home. To make matters worse, her sister’s family, who lived just a few doors down, lost their home as well. They left their home, earlier in the day, under the assumption evacuation was required due to the smoke. All of them left thinking it was temporary and they would see their homes again. The winds continued to get worse and fire moved into her neighborhood destroying almost every home. They have lost nearly everything. They left with not much more than the clothes on their back. Leah is a professional musician and plays the violin for a few of the orchestras in the greater denver area and lost all of her instruments. Part of these donations will be used to replace her violins so she continue to play and bring joy to her family. Leah, her two kids, sister and her family are all staying with her parents, locally, as they process what has happened and what to do next. I am calling on our SNC/Sierra Space family and anyone looking for ways to help this amazing family get back on their feet and get the necessary items her family needs heading into winter. Leah is not someone who asks for help. She believes someone always has it worse than her. Anything helps and will go directly to Leah and her family.
