Kimberly has been blessed with an angel on earth and anyone who knows this family, has seen what true, unconditional love and devotion is. Anyone who knows Kimberly knows that her generosity and kindness knows no bounds, especially when it comes to Heyden.
Heyden has had many challenges throughout his 9 years, but is always a light to everyone that he comes across. Through many hard diagnosis’: non-verbal autism, intellectual development disability, hearing loss, and digestive disorders, Kimberly has made life beautiful and loving for Heyden.
Heyden is the light of Kimberly’s life!
On December 21st, Heyden was diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia (ALL). Their lives have changed so quickly with this diagnosis; surgery, chemotherapy, and treatment plans.
Heyden is not able to communicate his pain, his needs, he does not understand why he is in this hospital undergoing numerous tests, blood draws, treatments. He cannot understand why he cannot be home, in his space, where he is “boss” and free to be him. He cannot understand why he his sick. He cannot understand why his mama has to glove up in order to change him, he cannot understand why he cannot go outside and just be. To look at the trees, to play in the water, to go for a walk, to be on a bike ride, to just BE.

Kimberly and Heyden will be traveling two times a week to Portland to undergo treatments for the next six months or more. We would like to help Kimberly with her travel, bills, medical expenses and anything that they may need.
Kimberly is a person who would give you her last to make sure you had what you were in need of. She is there for her people, no matter their background and no matter what is happening in her life. Kimberly is joy.
Heyden is the love of Kimberly’s life. Nothing in this life lights her up, makes her proud, challenges her, brings her peace, brings her joy like her Heyden. And you can see it in Heyden. Heyden knows what true love is.
It is our hope that we can come together and help her so that she can focus on Heyden and his needs rather than the kind of financial burden that this kind of diagnosis brings.
