Hello! My name is Arthur, but everyone calls me Art.

I am a single father born and raised in Michigan; I have a daughter who is the light of my life.

I'm trying to raise funds to expand my woodworking business I run out of my home. Currently, I need funds to upgrade my facilities and purchase new/better equipment. I currently run my shop out of a 25x25 2 car garage that was converted into a living space before I purchased the home. I have done some minor work to it, but I need to update the electrical inside of the shop.

In an ideal world, I would buy a new shed/work area and move all of my woodworking to that building and use the area inside my home for wet work without risking excessive sawdust exposure and to also keep the dust out of my personal living space, which is currently very hard to do.

That endeavor would be extremely expensive though and may just have to be further into the future. Depending on how it all worked out It would be somewhere in the area of $20-$30,000. It would be more affordable to fix my garage, but far less convenient. It would also open up my ability to have apprentices and students to come learn from my shop as well, as most programs don't want you to have people in your actual home.

As far as tools go, It would be great to be able to get a new table saw, a new drum sander, a better dust collection system, and potentially a better CnC/Laser

I estimate I can update my current shop and get just the new table saw for as little as aroudn 3-$5,000 dollars. I only set my maximum goal to $30,000 with the small chance that it may get that high. Thank you very much for your time, and I hope you have a wonderful day.

So far I've accumulated just over 1800$.
This can go to a brand new table saw, new electrical for my shop, and a little bit of material in the upcoming sale.

I can get an okay table saw that will last me a descent amount of time for around $1,000. One somewhere around $1,500-$2,500 would be more efficient, but I am willing to be patient.

Electrical should be just $1-200

More clamps, benches and ease of access improvements would be nice, clocking in at around $3-400

Wood can be pricey, and if I spent the remainder so far on wood, it would open up more potential work. I will update this list as we go along.
