Meet the most lovable Dwarf Mini Horse: "Hershey Kisses" who is a mini horse with achondroplasia dwarfism. We rescued him from a very neglectful & undernourished situation and brought him to our therapy farm: Cranes Nest Sanctuary to live out his days being loved and cared for. Hershey had an emergency gastric health issue that needed specialized medical care, due to his past neglect and the disabilities caused by his dwarfism. He is currently in Athens, GA at UGA Vet hospital and had to undergo gastric surgery for colitis and a gastric obstruction. He will also have to have dental surgery as well which is causing some of the stomach & digestion issues from the dental problems the dwarfism causes. Hershey Kisses loves everyone, he is full of personality & spunk. He is a wonderful mini that is extremely gentle to those with special needs. There is never a charge or fee for therapy at our farm, because therapy and recovery brings much deserved peace to the animal and person in need. Please help with Hershey's surgery bills and his recovery treatments. He will have a long recovery period of about 3 months and then he will need specialized follow up care in 3 more months. His teeth will need to be done now, and again in 6 months. He will also have to be on a special made diet and mash. Please help us give Hershey Kisses the best Veterinary care he deserves since he has touched so many with his lovable & sweet spirit. He is truly a one of a kind Fur Baby. Hershey's Vet Team at the Veterinary Hospital is wonderful and they are working diligently to keep our expenses as low as possible. Dr. JJ & her team are awesome and are working very hard to save Hershey Kisses. These funds are needed asap as we have already exhausted our emergency Vet care fund.
