Hersam Family Fund in Memory of Julia Hersam

Hi, my name is Rachel Butyter and I am fund raising for my brother, Michael Hersam’s family and the loss of their daughter, Julia (17), and medical expenses for their grandson, Jae (2).

Late Friday night, Julia was driving home after a fun-filled day at the beach with her friend and nephew, when a car on the other side of the road, crossed the double line (into Julia’s lane) to pass a car and hit Julia head-on. Julia died on the way to the hospital. The passenger and 2 year-old were airlifted to a different hospital.

Julia was a sweet and kind-hearted girl, loved by all who came in contact with her. She had just graduated high school and planned to go to Culinary Arts school to be a chef. Julia was taken too soon and will be missed everyday by those left behind.
