Hersal's fight with pancreatic cancer.

Hello, I'm Hersal and I'm currently getting chemo for pancreatic cancer and I'm looking to raise money to help with my rising medical bills and lost wages for surgery, numerous doctors visits, and chemo. This is very important to continue taking care of my family.

Back on January 10th, 2023 I was told to go to the ER due to rapid weight loss, digestive issues, and jaundice in fear of liver damage. After an abdominal CT I was told that a small lesion was found on my pancreas and I was getting admitted to determine the pathology. With in a day an abdominal MRI confirmed that the lesion was not attached to any major blood vessels and could be removed with a surgical procedure called the Whipple. I was agreeing to the surgery without getting all the details due to the danger and bleek outlook for lesions that are attached to major blood vessels. On the 12th, I was transferred to St Anthony's for the endoscopy, biopsy, and stent placement since my tumor was blocking my liver duct which caused the jaundice. After that I was transfer to St Joseph's Main hospital for my surgery that occurred on 1/17. I wasn't released post-op until 1/24 after all my body scans showing no spread. I ultimately had a 3.6 cm, stage 1B tumor. I was out of work for nearly two months as I recovered from surgery. It was not a fun recovery due to my reconfigured upper digestive track, changes in appetite/ inability to eat, increased nausea, and constant stomach cramping. I had 3 ER visits after the surgery getting admitted twice due the issues and I've lost 70 lbs since early December. I've just completed my 2nd of 12 chemo infusions. I've already exhausted my PTO days for both of my jobs and I get paid 60% under disability for my full time job and I don't have that benefit with my part time job. This is why I'm looking for any and all assistance and generosity. Thank you all in advance. Please share also.
