Herrick's Spinal Surgery

My friend, Esterlita Van Stekelenborg, came to Canada from the Phillipines for a better future.

Esterlita is a personal support worker at Ritz Villa in Mitchell and has helped people you may know for 29 years! She lives with her son Herrick at her home in Mitchell.

Herrick is now 30 years old. He started his own car wrapping business but had an accident. He fell on cement and landed on his back. Recently a disc near his neck exploded and has a cyst. Herrick is now unable to work. The doctors in London say the type of surgery he needs is not offered in Canada, not covered by OHIP and it can't wait. He needs Cervical Disc Replacement for 2 disc's by his neck. The type of surgery he needs is offered in Germany at a cost of $100,000 Canadian dollars.

Like every mother, Esterlita is doing what she can for her son to have this surgery.
