Ho-Ho-Kus: Herrada Family Fundraiser

Ho-Ho-Kus PBA Local 353, has teamed up with fellow officers from Ridgewood PBA, Wyckoff PBA, Glen Rock PBA and Franklin Lakes PBA to raise money for a local family in need. This will be the third family, in a three month effort, to receive assistance from these agencies, and generous members from each community.
December's Family: The Herrada family is a local family, in Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, who are in need of assistance. Their son Robert (16 years old) was born with a micro deletion of chromosome 1Q44. This is a rare deletion, and is not a named syndrome. He suffers from seizures, which cause him to stop breathing, and requires 24/7 care. He does not walk or talk. His mobility is limited to a wheelchair. His family has made many modifications to their home to accommodate his needs, including a full room of expensive medical equipment. Robert has suffered from pneumonia more than 50 times, which has compromised his respiratory and immune system.
Despite all of his illnesses and difficulties, Robert always remains happy. He finds joy in interacting with people, and listening to music. His 14 year old sister is his best friend, and the two are inseparable.
You can imagine that the Herrada family's journey has been a difficult one but they have been doing their best to live life to the fullest, sharing unconditional love throughout the way.
100% of money raised will be going to the Herrada family. Along with Go Fund Me, you can also send or drop off a check, written out to "Ho-Ho-Kus PBA Local 353", at 55 Sycamore Ave Ho-Ho-Kus NJ 07423.
