HERO BURNT AMIDST SAVING 8 LIVES.

Donation protected
As a soldier and having deployed to Iraq (in 2003, 2007 & 2012) and Afghanistan in 2014 for 9months, I have witnessed many men and women act courageously and bravery in adversities.

For us as soldiers, we are trained to deal with certain situations but, that was not the case for Mr Sirizani Butau (a Zimbabwean Truck Driver) who endangered his life to rescue 8 people from a burning bus on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, it is reported that 4 people died from the accident despite Mr Butau’s efforts to rescue as many as he could whilst suffering serious burns to his body.

To all my military and civilian friends who will understand what it means to risk your life for others, or you have been saved by someone else, or you have been touched by this story as much as I have been, it feels morally right to recognise this man’s bravery and courage.

I am truly humbled as many people are by his bravery. I am kindly asking you to donate whatever you can to support his medical bills as well as help victims of this horrific accident during a time when families are supposed to gather in happiness instead of mourning.
