Hi my name is Leo Heath Whittaker 54 single no children live & grew up in islington most my life

I started life dancing on the streets as a street entertainer in Covent Garden 80s

hiphop was my life then was discovered by model agency Z & made amazing videos commercials print work catwalk shows with top designers icons photographers etc

The body is weak being over six foot joints & bones are brittle now which is why I’m reaching out in desperation against my pride .

I have been rejected repeatedly discharged from three different hospitals lost in the nhs system with only one successful pain relief root lock injection since the pandemic 2019 now with years of pain so disabling that I spend over 12 hours a day bedridden, as swimming is the only recommended physiotherapy for lower 4/5 herniated prolapsed discs in my spine .

Pools in london only allow 40 minutes booking per day per centre so my life has been on hold & weight mental heath are at all time low.

I can’t take this anymore anxiety & depression means socially I’m isolated more & more each year alone at home no family or partner to support universal credits barely touch the sides which have been all I have financially since 2018

I worked for myself as a street market trader selling clothing in islington over 17 years founded 2004 Leosboutiqueuk-lifting buying selling stock without a car or van 6 days a week long hours so I’m not a lazy sort .

I cannot see a future under these circumstances being a physical sporty person in my past life which seems so far away -my confidence the whole world looks different for me now without a operation to decompress the two vertebrae!!!im overweight so cannot model I have a agency who haven’t been able to find me work over a few years now

This very expensive operation costs between 7K-12K if you shop around in Uk

I have the X-rays & drs letters to proceed should I find the funds

Private sector is the only solution as nhs is crippled in the Uk and I have been referred back to square one three times I have given up on my dr or surgeons to have any compassion for me as on the surface I look healthy but can’t walk for more than 2 mins

one dr said he didn’t think we got along well enough after cancelling four times in two years on his waiting list !?!

so I ride my bike cannot stand for more than few mins as the pressure gives me so much pain I’m on my knees in cues at shops or streets trying to take a bus it’s so hard to keep explaining to strangers that see a tall man who looks fit but hides the pain & the drugs don’t work cannot stay awake or do normal tasks like cooking on a chair it’s embarrassing.
