Hernandez-Barrios Family Fund

Donation protected
Hello everyone, the following fund is for the Hernandez-Barrios family in Daytona Beach, FL who lost their place of living and most importantly, their 9-year-old boy Jose Barrios.

Jose was a boy full of life, happy and the oldest of two brothers. He was very close to his little brother Luis and always helpful at home and church. At church he was always close to his brother, inseparable. Jose always liked assisting the teachers at Bible School with other students and participating in class.

The Hernandez-Barrios family have suffered a major tragedy by inhaling carbon monoxide produced by a portable generator they were using.  Unfortunately, Pedro the father, the sole provider of the house, is still in intensive care at the hospital battling for his life, while Luis, their surviving younger brother, and their mom Matilde are expected to recover.  They’re still closely monitoring their progress at the hospital as well. Moreover, the house, which they were renting, became unfit to live in due Hurricane Matthew. A tree that was in close proximity to their rented house fell onto the house. Because of this, they lost electrical power. Now they’ve been forced to leave the house and find a new place.

As you can imagine, the surviving members will need to deal with the cost of a funeral, medical expenses, a place to stay plus food and transportation needs; but most important, the loss of a brother/son and the uncertainty of the father/husband surviving this tragedy. The family has no savings, no home, and much debt. They are in need of financial help immediately. This fund will go toward funeral expenses, housing, food, medical expenses, and other immediate basic necessities.

This family is loved by their family, church family, coworkers, school family, and friends. I’m sure many can relate and empathize with what the family is going through right now. Your donations will be a great blessing for the family and are greatly appreciated!

This campaign has been made by Samael Peignand, Volunteer Coordinator and member of MAAM Church of Daytona Beach. All funds raised will be used for the family's funeral arragements, housing, food, and medical bills. The funds will be given directly to the family.

Keep this family in your prayers.
